1. Wash and dry Cherry tomatoes.
2. Cut them into halves.
3. Wash basil leaves.
4. To make the basil oil: Place 5 basil leaves, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper and 6 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil in a mortar. Use a pestle to grind.
5. Put 1 half Cherry tomatoes with 1 basil leaf & 1 mozzarella ball and 1 half of Cherry tomatoes and repeat the process.
6. Season with the homemade basil oil.
